A quote
A quote from this guy, as quoted by this guy:
“PHP is like a beautiful woman… with syphilis.”
I just thought I’d share that with you. Also, here’s a quick consciousness >/dev/blog
:
- Is it “SXSW” or “SxSW”? The latter would seem to make more sense, although it does somewhat remind one of a strange kind of hexadecimalesque base system.
- Mr Willison seems to have an interesting way of displaying quotes: the actual “69 quotes” are not in the HTML code, but are added in later with what I can only presume to be a bit of CSS for sensible browsers which understand the
content-before
andcontent-after
properties, and a bit of obscure JavaScript/XML/HTC code for Internet Explorer. This is intriguing, and something I would read up on a bit more were I not about to go out to lunch. - I’ve finished term and now have rather more time to blog, as you might have noticed: my increased blograte and the fact that I have a dissertation to write are not entirely coincidental.
- The bovine in my previous blog post (borrowed from a Black and White 2 screenshot) has both udders and horns. Is this possible (under the assumption that 100-foot creatures are possible)?
There are breeds of cows where both the females (cows) and males (bulls) have horns. In fact, according to http://www.crazyforcows.com most cows have horns, but they’re removed at an early age to make them safer to handle.
Fear my cow knowledge… Or not.
